Dr. Ritu Sood Disick began her doctorate studies at the University of California, where she graduated with a B.S. in Biology in 1997. She was thereafter accepted at Columbia University’s School of Dental and Oral Surgery in New York City, where she obtained her licensure as a D.D.S. in 2002. Her success in that program lead to an immediate offer from Palo Alto’s VA Hospital to participate in its intensive, advanced training residency program (academically known as a “G.P.R.”). Eager to begin her career, but cognizant of the incredible opportunity the offer represented, Dr. Sood postponed her calling as a practitioner in order to participate.

Registered Dental Hygienist
Originally from Eastern Europe, Lucy moved to the United States in early 2000 to pursue a degree in dental hygiene. She graduated from San Joaquin Valley College in 2009 as the valedictorian and president of her class.
Lucy is passionate about oral health and building relationships with her patients, particularly when it comes to communicating the importance of good oral habits. "Having great communication is the foundation of any great practice," she explained. "Our doctors care first and foremost for the well-being of our patients, but they are also passionate about their work, and really have fun doing it!"
Lucy married her husband, Marty, in 2009. The couple loves "getting into house projects," and spending time with their children. The two also love traveling as they explore nature throughout the world; she even took a three-week sabbatical in July 2017 to sail the Caribbean with her family!

Marg completed her undergraduate Associate of Science degree from Chabot College, Hayward, in 2001. Originally from Eastern Europe, she takes pride in educating patients on oral hygiene improvement. She is excited to be part of a great team at Treat Boulevard Dentistry. During her free time she enjoys traveling, and playing with her furry kids Ani and Esther.

Registered Dental Assistant, Team Lead
Shivani has been a Registered Dental Assistant for more than a quarter century. Like our other Team Leads, she joined the practice more than a decade ago (2000) and has remained with the TBD family ever since. "I continue to be loyal to Dr. Sood because working with her is such a pleasure," she explained. "We all get along very well in this office, and Dr. Sood is not only an excellent dentist, but she makes everyone she comes in contact with feel like family."
As a seasoned RDA, Shivani is responsible for reviewing patient records and assisting Dr. Sood and her associates during treatment. She also takes digital scanning records for patients with TBD's state-of-the-art 3-D scanning devices. Just like her colleagues, Shivani's gets significant personal fulfillment in what she does. "Because I love the dental field so much, I also work as a dental assistant instructor at Carrington College, where I help students become dental assistants," she said.
When she is away from the office, Shivani likes to spend time with her mother and travel.

Front Office, Team Lead
Karla began working in the dental field in 1997. She joined our practice as front office treatment coordinator, and was promoted by Dr. Sood to Front Office Team Lead. Karla embodies the passion for what we do that is shared throughout the TBD team. She summed it up perfectly when she said, "I love the staff, patients and the environment here!" Most patients recognize Karla as soon as they walk through our doors. She is the one responsible for monitoring their online appointment requests, and she also helps coordinate the payment of their insurance benefits as well.
When not at work she loves spending time with her family and fur babies.

Wendy brings 7 years of experience to her role as a dental front office team member, where her expertise and friendly nature make her a trusted part of the practice. She excels at managing patient needs and creating a welcoming environment. Outside of work, Wendy loves spending time with her friends and family, especially enjoying precious moments with her two beautiful children. Her warm personality and commitment to both her professional and personal life make her a wonderful presence both in and out of the office.
